Healthy Lifestyles in partnership with CITC

During the last term as part of our partnership with City in the Community we ran a healthy lifestyles program that enables children to learn about food, nutrition, mental health, sleep and exercise. We linked this to football, as a lot of the children love the sport and related it to how they can better their football performance by leading a healthier lifestyle. Children practiced making  Overnight Oats, Breakfast Wraps, Smoothie and Pizza Baguettes, the aim of our program is to give children the life skills they need in adulthood as well as learning the benefits around a healthier lifestyle. The pupils have been vocal in all sessions, wanted to take part in cooking the food and really enjoyed the experience.
