Resistant materials technology at Chaigeley allows students to explore the practical basics of wood and metal work. This pathway of study offers the students an opportunity to develop skills in the use of hand tools and in small machinery that may be of benefit when applying for roles in the industry.
Students work on distinct projects using these skills to produce end products such as furniture, musical instruments and childrens games. Students take a great deal of pride in their finishing and presentation of their pieces of work.
